Website redesign service
Rebuild an existing site properly, without losing your Google rankings.
A redesign is one of the hardest jobs in web, because your current site has years of pages, content and rankings behind it. The whole point is to make it better without throwing away what already works.
Rankings protected page by page
Built on a separate host, hidden from Google
Monitored for weeks after go-live
Quoted after I see your site
why it’s hard
Why a redesign is harder than a new site
A brand-new site starts from a blank page. A redesign does not. Your existing site already has signals in Google, and it has earned its rankings over time.
The moment you change the content and structure of the pages, Google has to re-evaluate them, and that almost always causes a wobble in traffic at first.
Done carefully, that wobble is small and temporary. Done carelessly, it can turn into a serious, lasting drop, where pages lose their rankings for a long time. That is the real risk in a redesign, and avoiding it is the whole job.
A redesign cannot be sold as a fixed package. The price depends on your site, so I have to see it first.
pricing
How it works, and what it costs
For most fixes and changes, you pay only for the time the work takes. No big package you do not need.
01
A full snapshot before anything changes
I crawl and list every page on your current site, and pull the pages that get Google traffic, with their keywords, from Search Console. A clear before-and-after baseline.
02
Everything mapped in a Google Sheet
Every page and its content is listed, with a note on the design each one needs in the new site, so nothing gets missed.
03
Page-by-page 301 redirects
When a page’s web address changes, I point it to its exact match in the new site. Not all the old addresses dumped onto the homepage, the common mistake that loses rankings.
04
Your SEO data carried over
The title, meta description, schema, canonical tag and heading structure all move across with each page.
05
High-traffic pages left alone where possible
If a page brings in good traffic, I avoid changing its address at all.
06
Built on a separate host, hidden from Google
The whole rebuild happens on a separate host set to noindex, so Google never sees the half-finished version.
07
A careful launch
At go-live I submit the new sitemap, then watch for broken links (404 errors) in the first days and fix them straight away.
08
Fast and responsive
The new design works properly on phones, and I work seriously on speed and Core Web Vitals.
09
Shops handled properly
For an online shop, I migrate the products and test the real payment gateway before it goes live.
the honest bit
The honest bit about traffic
I will be straight with you. A short wobble in traffic almost always happens after a redesign, because Google has to re-evaluate the new pages. In a redesign done properly, that dip is temporary. It usually recovers within a few weeks, and often the traffic ends up higher than before, because the site is now faster and better structured.
That is why I do not treat the job as finished the day the site goes live. I keep monitoring your rankings and your site errors for four to six weeks after launch, and fix anything that comes up.
4–6
weeks after launch
Rankings and errors monitored and fixed, because a redesign is not finished on launch day.

message first
Why you message me first
This is not a service where you pick a package off a list. Every active site is different, and I cannot give you an honest price or plan until I have seen yours. So the first step is always the same: you message me, I review your site with you, and then I quote.
why me
One person, start to finish
You deal with me, not a team of handovers.
i.
One person, start to finish
You deal with me, not a team of handovers. From the first message to launch and the weeks after.
ii.
Your rankings come first
The redirects, the SEO data, and the careful launch are all built around not losing what you have earned.
iii.
You own everything
Your site, hosting, domain and all your logins stay in your name. If you ever move on, nothing is locked on my side.
iv.
Plain English
No jargon, and an honest answer about whether a redesign is even the right move for you.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on your site, so I quote it after I have seen it. The price is shaped by how many pages you have, how much content, how the site is doing in search, and which pages need rebuilding. Writing new content, photography, and any new paid theme or plugin licences are separate from the redesign price.
A short wobble is normal, because Google re-evaluates the new pages. A lasting drop is what a careful redesign protects against. I use page-by-page 301 redirects, carry over your SEO data, and keep your high-traffic addresses where possible. It usually recovers within a few weeks, and often ends up higher than before.
Usually three to eight weeks, depending on the size of the site.
No. I redesign on WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace, and I handle WooCommerce shops too.
Access to your hosting, access to Google Search Console, and your brand files. And a short message so I can see the site first.
Yes. I monitor your rankings and fix any errors for four to six weeks after go-live, because a redesign is not really finished on launch day.
Because every active site is different, and a fixed package cannot fairly cover a redesign until I have seen how big and how complex your site is.
your move
Start by showing me your site
A redesign is a bigger decision than a new site, and it should start with a proper look, not a sales pitch. Message me about your current site, and I will review it with you and tell you honestly what it needs and what it would cost, before you commit to anything.
